Power and Position Lured Me to Keep Away from the True Way

I believed in the Lord in the Great Light Church in 1998. After turning to the Lord, I saw many miracles and received much grace, and all my illnesses were cured by the Lord. So, I pursued hard and was later appointed deacon responsible for a church of 500 believers.

In 1999, we received a sermon (given periodically in the Church) against the “Eastern Lightning” from the above, which said, “The people of the ‘Eastern Lightning’ believe in a false Christ and have departed from the Bible. They preach only to talented men and beautiful and intelligent women to commit adultery with them. They lure people to accept their way with money and beauty. If you don’t believe their way after listening to their message, they will break your arms or legs or even gouge out your eyes or cut off your nose. If you join them, you can never get out and your family will be ruined in the end.” Hearing it, all the brothers and sisters were very frightened and began to hate the “Eastern Lightning” bitterly. I had never doubted the sermons from the above. So I considered that the charges of the “Eastern Lightning” were unquestionable and any of them was sufficient to condemn the “Eastern Lightning” as a “heresy,” a “cult.” And I drew the conclusion in my heart: They are not believers in God at all; it’s a false Christ coming to deceive people in the last days. Since then, I tightened controls on the churches. I went around the churches every few days and wildly resisted, condemned, and blasphemed Almighty God and His work of the last days among the brothers and sisters.

  “The Happiness in the Good Land of Canaan” is a cheerful experience hymn, expressive of the excitement and joy of all those who have accepted Almighty God’s work in the last days. They enjoy the happy time of reuniting with God and have a sincere devotion and love for Him, unwilling to leave Him any more. When they hear the joyful news “God has returned” and “God has uttered new words”, they are surprised and excited. They think: “God has returned? He has already appeared?!” With curiosity and uncertainty, one after another, they step into the journey of seeking God’s new words. In their arduous seeking, some people are questioning while others simply accept it. Some people look on without comment, while others make suggestions and search for answers in the Bible—they look but in the end it is fruitless…. Just when they become discouraged, a witness brings them a copy of the Age of Kingdom Bible, and they are deeply attracted to the words in the book. What kind of book is this really? Have they actually found the new words that God has uttered in that book? Have they welcomed the appearance of God?

The Way the Lord Arrives

These several fellowships have had a great impact on every single person. As of now, people can finally really feel the true existence of God and that God is actually very close to them. Although people have believed in God for many years, they have never truly understood His thoughts and ideas as they do now, neither have they truly experienced His practical deeds as they do now.
