My name is Gao Jun. I’m 52 years old. I’ve followed Almighty God for fourteen years. Before I believed in God, I did business in the world and was often busy giving dinners or sending gifts and socializing. Every day I went in and out of places of entertainment such as the KTVs and the gambling houses…. My wife quarreled with me constantly because of that, and finally she was so angry that she would divorce me and left home. However, I had sunk in the mire and was unable to extricate myself at that time.
Almighty God says, "Do you wish to see Jesus? Do you wish to live with Jesus? Do you wish to hear the words spoken by Jesus? If so, then how will you welcome the return of Jesus? ...In what manner will Jesus return? You believe that Jesus will return upon a white cloud, but I ask you: To what does this white cloud refer? With so many followers of Jesus awaiting His return, among which people shall He descend?...when you see Jesus descend from the heaven upon a white cloud with your own eyes, this will be the public appearance of the Sun of righteousness. ...It will herald the end of God’s management plan, and will be when God rewards the good and punishes the wicked. From my childhood, I lived under my parents’ best care, but in my heart I often felt lonely without reliance, and there was always an unexplainable distress binding me, which I couldn’t get free from. I often asked myself, “Why does man live? How on earth should man live?” But I never got the answer. In 1999, I fortunately accepted Almighty God’s end-time work. From then on, under the feeding and supplying of God’s word, my lonely heart received comfort and I always had a feeling of returning home, feeling very peaceful and secure. Only then did I know what happiness is. Later, I read God’s words, “The world in mankind’s heart where there is no God’s position is dark, hopeless, and empty. … God’s place and God’s life cannot be replaced by any man. What mankind needs is not only a just society where they have enough to fill their stomach and everyone is equal and free. What they need is God’s salvation and God’s life supply for them.” (from “God Is Sovereign over the Destiny of All Mankind” in The Word Appears in the Flesh) Then, I knew that what a living man needs is not eating well, dressing well, or enjoying well, but is God’s salvation and God’s supply to man’s life.
1. A river of water of life, clear as crystal, flows out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. On either side of the river is there the tree of life, which bears twelve manner of fruits, and yields her fruit every month. The leaves of the tree are for healing of the nations. There shall be no more curse, no more curse. The throne of God and the Lamb shall be in the city. His servants shall serve Him, and they shall see His face, shall see His face. His name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night; no need of candle, no candle, nor the light of the sun; for the Lord God gives them light. They shall reign for ever and ever. They shall reign for ever and ever.
2. The holy city, new Jerusalem, comes down from God out of the heaven, out of heaven. Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, He will dwell with them. They shall be His people. God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow or crying, no pain anymore, for the former things are passed away. He will give to him who is thirsty of the fountain of water of life freely, freely give. He that overcomes shall inherit all things; God will be his God, and he shall be His son. God will be his God, and he shall be His son.
3. For the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of the city. The city has no need of the sun, nor the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God and the Lamb lighten it. The nations shall walk in the light, walk in the light: the kings of earth do bring their glory into it. The gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there, no night there. They shall bring glory and honor of the nations into it. There shall in no wise enter any thing that defiles, nor works abomination, or makes a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life, they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
4. The lightning comes from the east and shines to the west. Christ of the last days, Almighty God, has come among men. He expresses the truth: the Word appearing in the flesh. Before God’s throne, all people accept exercise and perfection of kingdom. Christ of the last days has brought the eternal way of life. God’s people are face to face with God every day and enjoy God’s word, sweet beyond compare. The word, a two-edged sword, judges to purify and save men. Judgment has begun with the house of God. The curtain has risen on judgment of the last days. All people of God hallow the name of Almighty God. Into His kingdom, Almighty God has come. God’s work has been accomplished. He has gained full glory. He has gained full glory.

I’m honest by nature and always bullied by others. So I tasted all the coldness of the human world and felt life was empty and meaningless. After I believed in Almighty God, through reading God’s word and living the church life, I enjoyed the peace and happiness I had never had and saw that the brothers and sisters in the Church of Almighty God love each other and are close as family members. This made me know that only God is righteous and only in the Church of Almighty God, there is light. Through personally experiencing the work of Almighty God for several years, I truly tasted that Almighty God’s word can indeed change and save man and Almighty God is love and salvation. In order that more people could enjoy God’s love and pursue to receive God’s salvation, the brothers and sisters and I rushed to cooperate in the gospel work. Unexpectedly, we were arrested and persecuted by the CCP government.

I was born in a poor peasant family. Because my family didn’t have power or influence, I was looked down upon and often bullied by others from my childhood. At such times, I felt especially aggrieved and distressed and expected from my heart that a savior could come to change my destiny. After marriage, my life was tough and my child often got ill, so a neighbor preached Jesus to me. Learning that the Lord Jesus could save those who suffered hardships and afflictions from the sea of misery, I was very excited in my heart, feeling that I finally found the savior. From then on, I believed in Jesus and was very zealous, often going to different places to attend meetings and listen to preachings. Later, however, I found that the church became more and more desolate and the phenomenon of jealousy and strife and scheming against one another became more and more serious, which was no better than the world. I was very disappointed and my faith grew cold gradually, and I didn’t attend meetings any more.
