    Under a starry, quiet and peaceful night sky, a group of Christians earnestly awaiting the return of the Savior sing and dance to cheerful music. When they hear the joyful news “God has returned” and “God has uttered new words”, they are surprised and excited. They think: “God has returned? He has already appeared?!” With curiosity and uncertainty, one after another, they step into the journey of seeking God’s new words. In their arduous seeking, some people are questioning while others simply accept it. Some people look on without comment, while others make suggestions and search for answers in the Bible—they look but in the end it is fruitless…. On July 22, 2012, the day after the disaster, I hurried to visit a sister who just accepted God’s work of the last days two months ago. As soon as I entered her village, I was shocked at the scene before my eyes. The road caved in, and the roadbed below the asphalt pavement was uncovered. Everywhere were the broken stones washed down from the hills, the big ones weighing several tons, and the cumulate mud was as thick as 30 centimeters. The rainwater flowing down from the hills formed a stream…. The whole village was changed beyond recognition and was in a total mess.

July 21, 2012, is the most unforgettable day for me and also the most important day in my life experience.

That day, the rain came down in buckets in Fangshan District of Beijing. It was the heaviest rain in 61 years in our area. At past four in the afternoon, I went out into the street and saw that water was everywhere. Our car was floating, and it wasn’t washed away because something in front stopped it. At the sight of the scene, I got very anxious and hurried to phone my husband, but the line was always dead. At that time, I didn’t seek God’s will; instead, I hurried home to find him.

What Lies Behind Lies

Each time I saw God’s words calling on us to be honest people and to speak accurately, I thought, “I have no problem with speaking accurately. Isn’t it just calling a spade a spade and telling things as they are? Isn’t that easy? What had always most annoyed me in this world were people who embellished when they spoke.” Because of this, I felt super confident, thinking that I had no problem in this regard. But only through God’s revelation did I discover that, without entering into the truth or changing one’s disposition, one can in no way speak accurately.
